Insuarance – Another issue that a new immigrant will have to tackle is Insurance. There are 2 main areas where this issue will rise. First – when you buy a house with a bank mortgage, you will need to sign a life insurance. Furthermore, you will need a house insurance and perhaps an appliances insurance. There are several insurance companies and even banks that provide these services however, there is a huge difference in commissions that each establishment seeks.
Second place where a new immigrant will have to deal with this issue is after opening a card at health maintenance organization (HMO) provider. While health services in Israel are free, you need to keep in mind that this applies to basic health services. It does not mean that if you need to have an operation under basic health service provider, they will not operate you. You will receive best care and operation possible under the basic plan. However, you are not going to be able to choose your doctor, to choose you hospital, get a high refund for different procedures you would like to have, have an all-inclusive prenatal care package, enjoy an almost free dental care and more.
